Ride UNITED Frequently Asked Questions

I was signed up for the cancelled 2020 Ride, what should I do?

In 2020, a total of $4985 was fundraised and was donated to the United Way Greater Toronto on behalf of Toronto, York and Peel Police. Although the event itself was cancelled, those dollars were still put to great use and our community benefited greatly. As you have previously registered with Team Raiser, you can now login to your account (forgot your password? Send “forgotten password” request or create a new profile) re-register for Ride UNITED 2022 and beginning your fundraising adventure. If you fundraised the minimum required dollars in 2020, that money still counts however any extra fundraising is greatly appreciated.

What should I bring?

Coffee, water and refreshments will be supplied at registration. Therefore, just bring your license, your cell phone, weather appropriate ride wear, your helmet and some spending money for the raffles, Buffs and lunch!

How do my supporters get their tax receipts for their donations?

People who donate to your ride through your personal link will be receipted directly by the United Way of Greater Toronto for all donations.

Can I donate to myself?

Of course!  You will then receive the tax receipt yourself for the full amount of your donation.

Can I just donate the whole $100 minimum and not fundraise?

Yes you can!  But remember that we want to raise as much money as possible for our communities.  Now, more than ever before, our friends and neighbours are struggling and need a “hand up” to get them through.

What are we having for lunch:

Please feel free to check out the Menu at Whiskey Johns. Snacks and soda will be provided. Food looks GREAT!

Will there be washrooms to use?

There will be washrooms available at the TPA (start of ride) and at Whisky Johns. If you need to stop at any other time, alert your Lead Rider so they can try to stop at a gas station or the like for you.

What if I need gas during the ride?

Alert the Lead Rider of your group so they can find a safe place for your group to pull into a gas station for you to fill up.
